Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team. The Medical Assistant will work closely with healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.

Duties

- Assist healthcare professionals with patient examinations and procedures
- Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
- Administer injections and medications as directed by healthcare providers
- Perform basic laboratory tests and collect specimens for testing
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure they are clean and stocked with necessary supplies
- Assist with patient education and provide information on medications, procedures, and follow-up care
- Schedule appointments, update patient records, and maintain accurate documentation
- Handle administrative tasks such as answering phone calls, filing paperwork, and managing patient records

Qualifications

- Completion of a Medical Assistant program or equivalent training
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Proficiency in basic life support techniques
- Familiarity with coding systems for medical procedures and diagnoses
- Experience working in a hospital or clinical setting is preferred
- Ability to accurately take and record vital signs
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to provide compassionate patient care
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Pay: From $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
